Although the mornings and evenings have become somewhat more comfortable, I still go out in a short-sleeved T-shirt.
This September aging report is a mixture of the desire to wear boots and the desire to escape to low shoes because of the heat.

The hot midsummer has passed and cool mornings are increasing, signaling the arrival of the boot season. But if you'r[…]
Redwing 9014 beckman boots
My buddy, black Beckman boots, finally returned from a half sole change. I put them on and went out immediately.
The upper is shiny, as it was just after care.
The old Beckman boots have firmer leather and less visible wrinkles than the later 94XX part number. It’s been seven years now.
The edges of this brown-painted shoe and the color scheme of the replaced shoelaces are my favorite points.
It is part of the ecology of a boot lover to swoon every time you put them on, looking at them from different angles.
Redwing 8111 ironranger
The ironranger was also in the rotation during the summer.
There are some minor scratches and it may be time for maintenance.
Leather feels a little dry too.
The leather is masculine and tough, with a few scratches that are rather welcome. They are ideal work boots that look cool even when handled roughly.
I think they are the best boots Red Wing has produced in recent years.
Redwing 101 postman shoes
A midsummer day in September with sweat pouring down my face, It is the first city in a long time.
Deep, large wrinkles are becoming more noticeable, as is typical of chaparral leather.
As the shoes have been worn in, they have become more and more dignified work shoes.
This is one of my favorite pictures taken by my wife, after we were cool in the park.
Redwing 9411 beckman boots
The Beckman Boots 9411 is only about 2 years old since I bought it.
The recent care + shoelace replacement made it easier to wear at once.
I was looking forward to the flat strings turning dirty, but they are just so hard to put on and take off….
These boots were rarely worn in midsummer, but the black cherry color is perfect for fall. They will come into their own in the coming season.
I would go for a different kind of aging than the black Beckman boots, closer to a work boot.
Danner field black
The Dannerfield is probably the most workboot-like boot I own.
I don’t mind minor scratches or stains.
The rounded form is not stylish, but it would be wrong to ask for that in these boots.
Soft comfort and unbeatable, completely waterproof. This is the very essence of practicality.
It is a reassuring partner that even typhoons are no problem. It seems that I will not be wearing it less often in the future.
Finally.
Autumn is the holiday season. It is the season to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
My fantasies are endless, but first it needs to get a little cooler. Oh, and money… I cry.
See you then.
