Well, it’s getting warmer!
Is it just me, or does spring make you feel fluffy and happy, but at the same time nostalgic or somehow lonely?
I think about how my partner’s boots are falling apart, how my legs and feet are weakening as I become an old man, and how one day I will no longer be able to wear them.
Well, life is full of goodbyes. That’s why we have to enjoy the moment. That’s why I’m going to wear my favorite boots again today!

Dr.martens 2976
The Martens Chelsea boots have been worn an overwhelming number of times. Although they are the youngest in our family, the wrinkles of wearing them have clearly taken hold.
I shined the toes a bit in the last care, and I’m pleased with myself that it turned out to be a pretty good balance.
The Martens are comfortable, lightweight, and rain-resistant. Chelsea can be slipped on without laces in the morning when you don’t have much time. That’s right, you’re going to be wearing them a lot.
WHITE’S Boot Bounty hunter
From this rugged appearance, these boot by whites look a bit hot in midsummer.
I started wearing them to work, which increased my turnout, and gradually, I started to get the look.
If the socks are too thick, it’s a challenge to get your feet into them. On the other hand, if they are too thin, the soles hurt, and the insoles are heavy, like wearing a wooden board.
It will take me a while to get used to them lol.
They are a bit taller and more fearless than Beckman boots.
Robustness you feel every time you wear it.
I wonder if these boots will be even cooler when they get ragged. I wonder when that will be… LOL!
Redwing 8111 ironranger
The ironranger continues to wear at a good pace, the creases are getting deeper and the color is becoming more dignified.
The comfort that I felt was a half size too big was completely eliminated with the boot socks. Just the right relaxed fit.
After all, I love the wrinkles that appear on the shaft.
Thanks to frequent brushing, scratches are not noticeable and they remain clean.
On this cloudy day, the color looks a little darker, but in the right light it can look more reddish or brownish…that is another interesting aspect of amber harness leather.
They are moist and shiny because they are cared for with shoe cream. The dry textured iron ranger8111 often seen overseas is also cool.
Redwing 9014 beckman boots
These old black Beckman boots are in a good mood this month. They are true to size with the addition of an insole and thin socks.
They are somewhat overprotected as work boots so that shoe trees are inserted when stored.
You can see in the photo how much the toe area has been scraped off. The main reason is the way I walk. Especially in the early days, I was conscious of walking on my toes to avoid reducing my heel.
I was an idiot lol.
Featherstone leather from this era has a good texture. It has a natural tension and luster, as well as the strength typical of work boots.
Redwing 9411 beckman boots
Late part number black cherry Beckman boots. I’ve been wearing them stiffly for commuting to work and the comfort has improved a lot in recent times.
I started wearing these boots with a conscious effort to ground them with the heel from the beginning, and I think it worked, as there was no toe rubbing.
However, the texture of the leather is not quite to my liking. I think the wrinkles look messed up.
I think they look cooler when worn rough, like work boots, than when worn neatly.
Paraboot neuilly caffe
These are the winning shoes for fall/winter, the Paraboot Nuit. I think I will end up wearing them only twice this season lol.
Naturally, there is no aging process going on, but I don’t mind because I’m determined to wear these boots beautifully.
Slightly taller and sleeker silhouette. When worn with slim jeans, the dress boot look is emphasized. This is my favorite.
I have a thin layer of wax from the last time I took care of them, but for dress boots, they could use a little more glitz and glamour.
However, the raw-colored stitching visible from the front also enhances the casual look, so…
They also look good worn as work boots with boot socks. This wide range of versatility is one of the charms of these boots.
Danner field black
The best rain shoes Dannerfield. A dependable one that spring storms are no problem.
I wear it consistently all year round.
Danner’s silhouette is unique. It is a round and lovely form.
Now I’m thinking of waxing the round toe of these boots… I think.
Summary and extras
After a boot-only winter, the temperature is getting warmer and warmer, which makes me want to wear shoes. Postman shoes, which have been out of action all winter, are ready to go.
Because spring is also the season of encounters. I think I will enjoy my spring sleep, dreaming of a chance encounter with the boots of destiny that I have yet to see – lol!
